Erica’s Accomplishments in the Statehouse:
- Passed into law the amendment codifying the Pregnancy Associated Mortality Review Board (PAMR).
- Secured $250,000 from the Governor’s Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives for Restoring Our Own Through Transformation (ROOTT) for doula services.
- Sponsored HB 142 – Medicaid Reimbursement for Doulas
- Sponsored HCR 31 – Racism as a Public Health Crisis
As Commissioner, Erica is enhancing the focus around maternal and infant health initiatives by continuing to work with CelebrateOne, ROOTT, Cradle Cincinnati, Queens Village, and grassroots organizations across the state as well as the federal government.
