Developing Affordable Housing
and Reducing Homelessness
Erica’s Accomplishments in the Statehouse:
- Secured $900,000 for Star House, which provides housing for youth experiencing homelessness.
- Sponsored the Water for All Act, which prohibits water shutoffs.
- Sponsored HB 59 – the Refundable Earned Income Tax (EITC) Act to ensure those in poverty have the same benefits on their state taxes that they have on their federal.
As Commissioner, Erica is working to ensure everyone in our community can have an affordable place to live and reduce those who are rent burdened.
